Toddler Room
Our Toddler Room is designed for children aged 2 to 3 years old, with a staff-to-child ratio of 1:4, ensuring every child receives close support as they grow in confidence and independence.
This space is carefully created to encourage self-help skills, social interaction, and imaginative play. At this stage, children are learning to do more for themselves — including self-serving meals and snacks, sharing with others, and exploring their surroundings with curiosity and excitement.
✨ Key Learning & Play Areas:
-
Small World & Sensory Play:
Our toddler small world area changes themes each term based on children’s interests — from trains and cars to animals and people. We’ve also created a unique sensory zoo, where toddlers can use all their senses to explore textures (like cereal-based sensory play). -
Home Corner:
Set up with real food packaging and play resources, this area allows children to imitate real-life routines such as making cups of tea, cooking, or role playing family life — helping build early communication, confidence, and creativity. -
Maths & Problem-Solving Area:
We’ve expanded our maths area with interactive boards, shape-matching games, counting resources, and number activities. These playful experiences build early maths and cognitive skills in a fun, hands-on way. -
Creative & Story Area:
This is where children explore arts, crafts, and storytelling. They create their own masterpieces using a variety of materials and enjoy circle time and story sessions that boost language development and social skills. -
Sand, Water & Playdough Area:
Toddlers get hands-on with sensory play, space-themed setups, and daily playdough making. We also include weekly baking activities to help build fine motor skills and teamwork through fun, meaningful experiences.
🌱 Supporting Development
Every activity in our Toddler Room is planned with each child’s individual interests and learning goals in mind. Our experienced early years educators provide a stimulating, nurturing environment that supports physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
